Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sebastián Volco is a composer, pianist, singer and producer. His artistic universe is unique, at the crossroads of jazz, rock, tango, electronic and classical music. He has given hundreds of concerts in Latin and North America, Western and Eastern Europe and the Middle East, and has collaborated as a musician and producer with leading Argentine and French artists such as Gotan Project and Catherine Ringer, among others.
His musical career began in Buenos Aires, in rock, tango and experimental music clubs. After a spell in New York, where he played in jazz and blues clubs, he decided to move to France.
His discography includes 20 albums of original compositions and arrangements, and his output continues to grow.
He has also composed music for film, ballet, exhibitions and museums and worked as a musician and/or producer on 10 albums by other artists.
In addition to his work as a musician, Volco undertook ambitious multimedia productions in Buenos Aires and Paris. Focused on avant-garde art, these shows and performances integrated elements of music, theater, cinema, painting, and dance.
He also served as a producer and programmer in cultural centers in Buenos Aires before relocating to France.
